We prefer Cottages to Campsites!
Penned on the 7th April 2015
There's an awful lof of Isle of Wight Festival activity going on at the moment - the first line-up announcements were made this week and were met with great excitement here at Wight Locations and we've already started compiling lists of *must-see* acts.
Of course, what's not up for debate is where to lay your head. We love fresh air here as much as the next Festi-goer BUT at the end of a long, hard day's partying we have to say that we do prefer a nice hot shower, cup of tea and clean sheets. Sheets that adorn a bed and not a blow-up mattress in a field with a thousand other people...Sleep is not overrated in our book!
These are our Top five reasons why we think you should book a cottage and not a campsite:
Rain - if it's a wet weekend, you can join in the fun and listen to you favourite acts, safe in the knowledge that a dry, fluffy towel awaits you in your cottage
Shower - see above, a necessity if rain is forecast!
Sleep - the best way to enjoy your favourite acts is on the back of a full eight hour slumber, campsites get noisy late into the night and the sun comes up far earlier than you'll ever remember.
Food - whatever your dietary requirements, you can stock your cottage fridge with your favourite brunch ingredients
Exploration - stay an extra night or two and explore our Island once the crowds have dispersed
