Walking Festival on the Isle of Wight
Penned on the 18th April 2018
The popular Walking Festival takes place twice in 2024 with the Spring Walking Festival from 11th - 19th May and the Autumn Festival 5th - 13th October. Both local and visiting walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to set-off across the Island on a wide choice of themed walks.
We are delighted to announce that this year there will be two walking festivals, the first taking place from 11th - 19th May and the second from 5th - 13th October. So pack your woolly hat and lace up your walking boots for a festival of fabulous walks.
Over half of the Isle of Wight is classed as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) so with over 500 miles of beautiful paths and bridleways you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding which trek to join.
Walks featured in the packed programme for 2024 include both guided walks and self-guided trails. Most of the walks are free, although some walk leaders request a donation for their chosen charity.
So what are you waiting for? Pop on those boots and get out there and enjoy the majestic scenery and fresh air the Island is famous for.
