The Beach Hut Cafe, Bembridge
Penned on the 2nd December 2014
Tucked away on a beach in Bembridge is a real hidden gem of a café, which constantly gets rave reviews from visitors to the Island and locals.
The Beach hut Café sits above Forelands beach with views of Culver Down, Whitecliff Bay and the eastern coastline of the Isle of Wight.
Dining at the Beach Hut is al fresco as all the seating is outside right on the beach, which is fantastic in the summer. On slightly chillier evenings there are blankets and umbrellas if needed. This all adds to the quirky and rustic fun atmosphere that so many people enjoy.
The Beach hut has built up quite a ‘foodie’ reputation since opening in 2012, with its Mediterranean influenced food and unique location and approach to dining by the Sea.
The lunches are light and fresh with salads, sharing platters and seafood favourites with a twist. The menu is frequently changing and seafood options are varied and dependant on what the local fishermen have managed to catch that day. The food is designed for sharing and enjoying whilst overlooking the sea
The Beach Hut is open from March to October, but this is weather dependent, so take a look at their Facebook page for regular updates.
Reservations for lunch or dinner are recommended. Call or text for a reservation on 07832 127737.
