The Garlic Farm
Various dates throughout November and December
Found deep in the heart of the Island, The Garlic Farm is renowned for its fabulous collection of home-grown condiments, gifts, plants and of course garlic galore! From Friday the 10th of November until Sunday the 24th of December the I Love Wight Pop UP Christmas Shop will be offering all things Christmas in the magnificent Allium Barn, the perfect opportunity to shop for those quirky, unusual gifts. If you happen to be there on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of December, there is also an Artisan Christmas Market with outdoor stalls and musical entertainment.
While you are there, call in to the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea, the perfect Christmas treat!
Briddlesford Christmas Market
Friday the 8th to Sunday the 10th of December
Renowned for serving the best breakfast on the island, Briddlesford is also home to a fabulous Christmas market. With a great selection of artisan Island suppliers selling crafts and gifts, this is the ideal opportunity to stock up ahead of the big day. Bluebells Café will be open too and serving a wonderfully festive array of food and drink.
Northwood House
Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of December
Northwood House will be bursting with Christmas joy and showcasing over 40 local exhibitors selling all things crafty. The Christmas tearoom will be serving a festive feast, and Father Christmas will be on hand in his snow cave where children can write him a letter with photo opportunities for parents. And look out for Santa Paws, who will be delighted to have his photo taken for a charitable donation of £3. Free to enter, this festive treat at Northwood House welcomes all the family.
Ventnor Winter Gardens
Saturday the 16th of December
The pretty seaside town of Ventnor is holding a full day of festivities in December. Throughout the town there will be a myriad of Christmas events including craft markets, storytelling, and live performers. Stay until early evening to see the Christmas parade, which assembles on the Green and traverses through town to Ventnor Park.
Bembridge Sailing Club
Saturday the 2nd of December
Visit the beautiful village of Bembridge on the first Saturday in December and pop into the Sailing Club for a chance to shop at the Mountbatten Gift Fair. Entry is just £3 per person from 10am until 3pm with access to a range of boutique stalls from the mainland. For a special treat, attend the special preview night on Friday the 1st of December from 5pm. Tickets are £15 and includes wine and canapes!
